Parivartan Sustainability Leadership Awards 2013 Launched; Advance deadline by June 14, 2013
New Delhi, April 24, 2013 Sustainability Outlook, India’s only market access and collaboration platform focused on sustainability and low carbon development, today announced the launch of the Parivartan Sustainability Leadership Awards 2013. Parivartan Sustainability Leadership Awards are an annual initiative to recognize and celebrate sustainability innovations in Indian businesses.
Award nominations are invited from the companies, organizations, service providers, institutions and individuals who have successfully contributed to uptake of innovative sustainability measures in their area of operations. The sectors under the purview of the awards include Pharmaceuticals / Chemicals, Food, Textile and Apparel, Consumer Durables and Electronics, Automotive and Auto Ancillaries, Clean Technologies, Logistics Providers Building Materials and Power / Oil & Gas. The deadline for submission is July 5th, 2013 and the nomination form can be accessed at: http://parivartanawards.in/application/process.
Making the announcement on behalf of the organizers, Upendra Bhatt, Managing Director at cKinetics stated, “Indian Businesses are moving beyond narrow ‘environmental’ concerns and are working hard to embed sustainability throughout their operations. Building on the success of the past years, the 2013 award categories have been shaped so that initiatives are rewarded that are both innovative and impactful in hopes to further aid thought leadership and catalyze Indian industry’s move towards sustainability.”

Category 1: Corporate Sustainability Stewardship Awardis for organizations who have implemented innovative sustainability solutions for efficient energy, waste and water management in their production processes and operations.

· Subcategory 2: PSU with Most Impactful Sustainable Development Intervention
Category 2: Sustainability Disclosure Leadership Award is aimed to identify and showcase corporates who have shown exemplary efforts in disclosing their non- financial performance on environment, social and governance parameters.
Category 3: Sustainability Innovation Challenge Award is aimed to recognize those organizations whose innovative, operational and scalable solutions have moved /have the ability to move the needle on sustainability imperatives in a significant manner.
