Emirates Green Building Council will host its 2nd Annual EGBC Congress on 11-12 December 2013 in Dubai, UAE. The theme of the EGBC Congress will be “Building a Green Future”.
The EGBC Congress is a landmark initiative dedicated to foster industry dialogue and engage multiple stakeholders to further influence sustainable practices in the built environment. The EGBC Congress will accelerate the activities, across the entire building supply chain, to work towards achieving the country’s vision of a Green Economy for Sustainable Development. The latest insights and innovations will be shared from local and international industry experts and the field’s foremost thinkers.
The inaugural event in 2012 saw over 150 delegates, high profile guests and speakers. This year’s Annual EGBC Congress is expected to be even bigger and draw even more recognition and industry interaction than before. The EGBC Awards will also be launched for the first time at the 2013 Congress on 11th December 2013, where the winners will be announced during the Gala dinner. 2013 EmiratesGBC Awards
The EmiratesGBC Awards honours companies that demonstrate clear implementation of sustainable design, construction and/or operation of buildings and structures.
The ultimate goal of EmiratesGBC Awards is to help establish a regional model for the sustainable built environment that is world class and replicable.
The awards will identify and recognize organizations for innovative and outstanding sustainable building principles and practices. They are designed to facilitate greater understanding of the contributions from the construction sector to sustainable development, and lead to exchange of ideas and good practice in sustainability in the United Arab Emirates and the MENA region.
