CIA2011 will launch New Offshore Automation Feature in Response to Robust Growth In Asian Offshore Oil And Gas Sector
Asia’s healthy economic growth has heightened demand for energy in the region. According to EIA estimates, oil consumption in developing Asian countries is expected to rise by 2.7 per cent annually from about 14.8 million barrels per day (MMbbl/d) in 2004 to nearly 29.8 MMbbl/d by 2030. China is expected to account for almost half the growth. Despite the austere global sentiment, the underlying economic drivers in Asia, in particular the emerging markets, reveal bullish demand for oil and energy as countries with big population are steadily shifting into higher income brackets.
In view of the vast potential in the offshore industry, Controls Instrumentation and Automation 2011 (CIA2011), Asia’s leading process engineering, controls instrumentation and scientific equipment exhibition, will present a new offshore automation feature this year, where visitors will see the latest process control and instrumentation solutions for offshore oil and gas.

Conferences will focus on operations sustainability, process automation and plant safety
With spotlight on the energy and offshore industries at the exhibition, the Plant Processes and Control Networks Conference 2011 will address pertinent issues in various applications and implementation in plant automation for the offshore industry. As process engineering aims to improve the performance and productivity of a plant, by reducing maintenance and operation costs, industry players are leveraging on advanced technologies to increase ROI. The conference will delve into topics on “Operations Reliability & Sustainability”, “Process Automation” and “Plant Safety” over two days.
Held in conjunction with EnviroAsia2011, the two-day Sustainable Development and Waste Management Conference will also touch on various environmental issues, challenges and solutions in sustainable practices and innovation in energy efficiency.
CIA2011, AnaLabAsia2011 and EnviroAsia2011 will be held concurrently over four days at Suntec Singapore from 22 to 25 November 2011.
