ClimateCare announced as finalist in the Better Society Awards

Climate and sustainable development expert ClimateCare has been shortlisted for the Consultancy of the Year Award in the 2016 Better Society Awards.

Organised by the Better Society Network these awards assess and reward those who are helping create a better, more equal, ethical and sustainable world from the corporate perspective.

A certified B Corporation, ClimateCare has always measured success against three elements: environmental impact, social impact and profit, with no trade-off between the three. Working from offices in the UK and Africa, to date it has improved life for over 6 million people whilst cutting 16.5 million tonnes of carbon emissions.

Robert Stevens, ClimateCare’s Head of Partnerships said: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted for this award in recognition of our Climate+Care programmes for business. What makes ClimateCare different is our business approach to sustainability. It means we are focussed on results and make the most effective use of our clients’ budget. We hope that being shortlisted for this award will raise awareness of the value our approach delivers for businesses, as well as for people and the environment, and that it will encourage more organisations to get in touch.”

The Climate+Care approach

ClimateCare works with business to develop bespoke Climate+Care programmes that resonate with a client’s core brand and purpose and make smart use of budget to meet multiple environmental, social development and business targets.

The team has a unique combination of strategic expertise and on the ground project delivery experience. It is known for developing innovative project and financial structures, with a focus on robust, measurable results.

“Working together with the innovators and experts at ClimateCare has helped us think differently about the best way to meet our sustainability targets,” says Jonathan Garrett, CSR Director, Jaguar Land Rover.

“The way that Climate+Care comes together means there’s a whole raft of benefits that can be gained from an individual programme,” says Zelda Bentham, Group Head of Sustainability, Aviva PLC.

ClimateCare

ClimateCare is a certified B Corporation. We believe that climate change, poverty and sustainable development cannot be tackled in isolation. And that we cannot rely solely on aid. Governments and business must work together to deliver the speed and scale of change required to secure a sustainable future.

That’s why, for the past 19 years, we have mobilised the power and scale of both private and public finance for integrated Climate+Care programmes, which deliver positive environmental and social impacts around the world.

We combine the vision of a social enterprise and the commercial experience of an investment bank. Leveraging mainstream funding, we profitably deliver some of the largest, most successful sustainability initiatives in the world. To date we have worked with hundreds of partners to cut over 16.5 million tonnes of CO2 and at the same time, improved the lives of 6 million people.

Businesses and Governments alike, see the value and sense in our integrated Climate+Care approach and we have set an ambitious vision for 2020. To cut a further 20 million tonnes of CO2 and improve the lives of another 20 million people. Find out more at www.climatecare.org. Follow ClimateCare on twitter: @ClimateCare
