“Social Business”, “Green Business” and “Sustainability” are buzz words which are found in business strategies, company policies and marketing campaigns of both large corporations and SMEs. What many do not realize is there is difference between “going green and actually “being green”! Social and Green business require a vision for the future, innovation and true dedication to embed sustainable practices within its business model itself. This social entrepreneurship workshop will focus on every business can be a facilitator and catalyst to create the conditions necessary for the community to empower themselves, and address social-environmental challenges. Participants will learn how businesses are able to play a relevant role, if not a central role, in these areas and discover how business can contribute actively to long term sustainability of the environment and economy.
