The 2017 Safe Cities Conference is being held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Brisbane on Wednesday 12 July. Focusing on community and public safety, the conference, now in its third year, provides knowledge that will assist delegates to improve community safety and resilience through urban design, crime prevention measures, social investment and digital intelligence. Safe Cities encompasses security, safety and quality of life for those who live, work, visit, study or play in any physical environment within our urban communities.
Following the release of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals to transform our world and in particular Goal 11 “make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable” the one day Safe Cities Conference will follow the two day Liveable Cities Conference. The three day feature program provides the opportunity to attend either the Safe Cities Conference on Wednesday 12 July OR Liveable Cities Conference on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 July OR BOTH conferences together.
Topics to be discussed at the Safe Cities Conference:
- Urban Safety
- Public Safety and Security
- Role of Local Government in Community Safety
- Digital Intelligence
- Safety – Reality vs Perceptions
- Promoting Safety and Reducing Crime within our Communities
- Crime and Violence Prevention
Hosted by the Association for Sustainability in Business Inc, an incorporated non-government, not for profit organisation.
