BACKGROUND and OBJECTIVES
Advanced integrated forming technology for lightweight metal components is critical to meet transport and construction industries’ demands for energy saving, energy efficiency and CO2 emission reductions.
This course provides participants with the latest updates of high precision forming technologies (e.g. Bulk forming, Sheet metal forming and Simulation) for manufacturing of lightweight metal components.
The course aims to support precision metal forming industry, specifically lightweight technology driven sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and construction, etc.
DELIVERABLES
Classroom lecture on various metal forming technology and simulation for lightweight components (8 sessions, total of 24hr)
Case study and hands-on session on typical forming methods and simulation (for bulk and sheet metal forming, 6 session, total 18hr)
