On the CUSP of something big: The Center for Urban Science and Progress

Urban Science and its understanding and development are critical as the world’s population continues to increase. It is with great pleasure therefore that we invite you to the Art Science Museum, Singapore to hear Professor Stephen Jarvis, Royal Society Industry Fellow and CUSP Academic Lead, University of Warwick, talk about Warwick’s participation in The Center for Urban Science and Progress in New York.

Drinks and canapes will precede the lecture.

To reserve your place, please book online.

The University of Warwick, building on its long established research strength in engineering and applied sciences, has become the only European partner in the Center for Urban Science in New York (CUSP). We are delighted to be able to hold the lecture in Singapore, itself a living example of sustainable cities.

Professor Stephen Jarvis, Royal Society Industry Fellow and the University of Warwick’s academic lead on CUSP, will introduce CUSP and its unique research model, which is based on the concept of Living Laboratories. During his presentation he will highlight research into Urban Mobility, Urban Infection and Control, and Social Networking, based on real-world data from municipal agencies. The objective is to develop research-led solutions to help these agencies address existing and new urban challenges.
