Global Energy Basel Summit 2013

The GEB Foundation is organizing a yearly conference: The 3rd GEB Summit will take place from 22–23 January 2013 at the Congress Center in Basel, back to back with the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

The GEB Summit provides a multi-stakeholder environment to discuss effective, solution oriented strategies and policies for financing sustainable infrastructure. It brings together senior decision-makers from the public and private sectors.

The GEB Summit showcases good practice for sustainable development in cities by national governments and the private sector. The GEB Summit incorporates an Investment Forum, where the GEB Graded Infrastructure Projects are presented.

The GEB Summit serves impact-oriented investors who want to safeguard both their assets and long-term returns by identifying and investing in a pipeline of meaningful and profitable projects.

40 sustainable infrastructure projects from around the world have already confirmed their presence at the GEB Summit’s Investment Forum. The featured projects encompass an overall investment sum of over US$ 4.4 billion.

Additionally, high level speakers such as Mahmoud Mohieldin, Managing Director of the World Bank, Mayor Mpho Parks Tau of Johannesburg and Andreas Georgoulias from the Harvard Graduate School of Design have already confirmed.
