There is no better time to be an ‘agripreneur’ (an agriculture entrepreneur). Foodtech and agtech start-ups raised US$19.8bn globally in 2019, up from US$2.1m in 2017 - but only 3 per cent of this funding was directed towards women agripreneurs.
This August, WOMAG and LEVEL3 are partnering to host a series of virtual events to increase awareness about challenges and opportunities for women agripreneurs: “Where are the Women: Exploring Agripreneurship in Southeast Asia”.
On 13 August, join us in a virtual evening of inspiration! We are hosting a double-feature showcasing five female entrepreneurs from Southeast Asia, and five from the United States. Following the film clips, we will host an interactive discussion about women entrepreneurs in the food and agri sectors.
