E3 (Energy Efficiency for Everyone) Hackathon, organized by UP Singapore and co-sponsored by the Energy Market Authority and Singapore Power, is being held from 27 - 29 September 2013.
Energy demand is on the rise and energy efficiency innovation could reduce energy consumption in Singapore’s residential sector and help support environmental sustainability. The hackathon will bring together energy and sustainability experts, researchers, developers and everyone who is passionate about creating solutions to encourage energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption in Singapore.
What can you and I do about this?
In Singapore, about 16% of all our energy consumed is within homes. So making small changes in our homes can have a huge impact on overall energy consumption levels. E3 Hackathon will take advantage of the power of crowd-sourcing to create prototypes that promote energy-efficiency and reduce energy consumption at home. Solutions that can spark behavioral pattern changes and help reduce the amount of energy consumed nation-wide.
Learn from energy experts. Work alongside enterprising developers. Strive towards a shared common goal to create new prototypes to make Singapore more sustainable for all.
