Are you affected by the recent developments in sustainability?As one of the new requirements for SGX listed companies (estimated in 2017), listed companies should look ahead when planning their sustainability agenda and publishing their sustainability reports. Hence it is imperative for sustainability representatives to have a good understanding of CSR, and sustainability.

This course covers current issues in CSR, its key drivers and an overview of the context of CSR and sustainability. Participants will be able to gain an understanding and develop basic skills to enhance and improve their organization’s CSR programme. Our courses within the area of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) focuses on three main categories: corporate responsibility principles, supply chain management, and sustainability.

Course Contents

Participants will be able to gain an understanding of the different dimensions of Corporate Social responsibilities using International Standard frameworks such as ISO 26000. This training also outlines the GRI guidelines available if an organisation chooses to communicate their CSR activities in a sustainability report, as well as the assurance standards available if assurance is decided to add credibility to the report.

  • Outline 7 core topics of ISO 26000
  • Outline of GRI reporting guideline
  • Outline of assurance standards

Who Should Attend

This course gives an insight into CSR, what it means and why an organisation should implement CSR as an integrated part of their business. This course is strongly recommended as a basic course for professionals tasked with handling their company’s CSR policy and strategy.

The course is interactive in nature with emphasis on active involvement of participants in group-work, brainstorming sessions, reflection exercises and assessment of case studies.
