Sustainalytics has announced a new research partnership with the Beijing-based sustainability consulting firm SynTao. Through this partnership Sustainalytics’ clients will receive access to SynTao’s on-the-ground studies and local expertise in Chinese securities while SynTao’s clients acquire insight into Sustainalytics’ global environmental, social and governance (ESG) research and analysis.
The sharing of resources is a central aspect of this relationship. SynTao, China’s first consultancy dedicated to the promotion of corporate transparency and sustainability, will share analysis of Chinese companies’ ESG performance on the Sustainalytics Global Platform, enabling Sustainalytics’ clients to improve their understanding of this increasingly important market. Furthermore, in working with Sustainalytics SynTao can offer its clients insightful guidance on global best practices and international standards for sustainability solutions and training.

The firm recently acquired the award-winning Singapore-based ESG research house Responsible Research. Last year, the Sustainalytics also entered into a strategic partnership with SUSTINVEST of South Korea.
