PVR Limited appoints Energy Advantage India to conduct environmental management assessment

PVR Limited, the country’s pioneer multiplex chain and leading entertainment company has appointed, Energy Advantage India Pvt. Ltd., a global leader in providing total energy and environmental management services, to assess its energy.  Energy Advantage will conduct a benchmark assessment of all PVR theatres. It will be PVR’s first step to develop an energy and environmental program across all its cinemas.

Pioneers of multiplex cinemas in India, PVR operates 40 cinemas with 173 screens spread over 24 key cities. With aggressive plans for growth in the next three to five years, PVR plans to implement energy and environmental program across cinemas to reduce its annual energy spend. To begin this initiative, PVR has partnered with Energy Advantage to provide an assessment of their current environment and identify areas where savings can be achieved.

Energy Advantage will benchmark PVR against key implementation success factors, such as, commitment, data management capabilities, execution and evaluate the performance of its cinemas based on its energy data, behavioural and operational data and facility details. Results from the assessment will feed into the creation of PVR’s strategic energy and environmental plan.
