ISH Shanghai & CIHE – the tailor-made HVAC show for East and Central China confirms its 2nd edition

Surging regional demand offers unprecedented opportunities for individual heating suppliers

Following the successful conclusion of ISH China & CIHE in Beijing, Messe Frankfurt’s highly-regarded ISH brand gets ready for its fall show, ISH Shanghai & CIHE – the Shanghai International Trade Fair for Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning. Co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, Beijing B & D Tiget Exhibition Co Ltd, Shanghai Zhanye Exhibition Ltd and Shanghai Pudong International Exhibition Corp, the fair is confirmed to take place once again at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from 25 – 27 September 2013. Covering 11,500 sqm of exhibition space, more than 150 exhibitors are expected to showcase their latest solutions to meet the individual heating needs of East and Central China. Currently, an estimated 10,000 visitors from around the world are anticipated for the three-day show.

ISH Shanghai & CIHE has attracted and confirmed exhibitors from nearly every area of specialty in the HVAC industry. Suppliers to the 2013 fair are expected to showcase items including wall-hung boilers, floor-heating systems, radiators, air-conditioning and ventilation systems, heat pumps as well as renewable energy products. The fair will consistently focus on China’s East and Central heating market, providing industry professionals a platform to communicate and explore the new market. So far, a number of leading brands have signed up, as they believe ISH Shanghai & CIHE will offer them more of an opportunity to showcase their latest HVAC products and technologies as well as discover potential customers.

Mr Richard Li, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd noted: “The East and Central regions of China have started to see ever-increasing demand for products that provide a more comfortable lifestyle to its affluent residents. Combined with the rising awareness of energy efficiency, I believe demand for high-end HVAC products will reach phenomenal heights over the next few years and more companies will specialise in energy-saving and intelligent HVAC products.”

Mr Li Hongbo, General Manager of Beijing B&D Tiger Exhibition Co Ltd added: “ISH Shanghai & CIHE continues its goals of introducing individual heating solutions to residents across the Yangtze River delta region. I believe the show will not only provide great regional exposure to our exhibitors, but will also offer new opportunities for brands already popular in the North China market.”

Surging regional demand offers unprecedented opportunities for individual heating suppliers

In the Shanghai fair’s 2012 edition, the fringe event HVAC Classroom proved to be a successful programme for introducing the various concepts of individual heating to East and Central China. The event also highlighted how eager residents of the two regions were in acquiring both knowledge and immediate solutions on individual heating technology.

Demand for individual heating solutions has risen from renewed discussions on the need for heating technology in East and Central China. Historically, the two regions did not strongly consider heating technology as an important component to building projects. However changes are being made, as current economic growth as well as regional climate changes has made local municipalities in the two regions revisit and make a stronger effort in implementing new heating solutions.

“Due to variant climates and energy structures, as well as fractured building construction standards, individual heating solutions are the most suitable and beneficial to China’s East and Central Regions. Additionally, current individual heating systems reduce the energy consumption of buildings, which is in line with the country’s recent environmental policy of Energy Saving and Emission Reduction,” said Mr Jiang Yi, a speaker at ISH China & CIHE 2013’s Sino European HVAC Congress from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and a professor at Tsinghua University’s Building Engineering Department.

This growing market is the reason ISH Shanghai & CIHE was developed. For suppliers more focused on offering individual heating solutions, the Shanghai fair provides a gateway to rising demand across East and Central China.

ISH Shanghai & CIHE is part of Messe Frankfurt’s building and energy fairs, headed by the biennial ISH event in Frankfurt, the world’s leading trading fair for the Bathroom Experience, Building, Energy, Air-conditioning Technology and Renewable Energies, with its next show taking place from 10 – 14 March 2015.

Furthermore, the next edition of ISH China & CIHE – China International Trade Fair for Sanitation, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning is scheduled to be held at the New China International Exhibition Center from 13 – 15 May, 2014 in Beijing, China.
