Baden Wright appointed as new CEO for Carbon Trade Exchange

Carbon Trade Exchange Australia (CTX) on Thursday announces the appointment of Baden Wright as Chief Executive Officer.

Baden has a wealth of expertise in the Information Communications Technology (ICT) industry, with over 20 years’ experience across Banking & Finance, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Airlines, Power Utilities and Government. He is an experienced executive with a superior understanding of technology and business concepts from inception through to market implementation.

He has extensive experience managing large-scale dedicated and virtual teams – including managing 52 program/project managers and over 400 technical support staff across four continents – and programs over $700 million total contract value. He also has significant management experience with very large outsourcing agreements, including Qantas and Westpac, as well as acquisitions and capital raising.

As Chief Executive Officer of Australia, Baden will be responsible for driving the overall strategy and business model of Carbon Trade Exchange. This will include the development and implementation of a global licensing strategy for the CTX Trading Platform.

Before joining CTX, Baden was most recently a Managed Services Consultant for premium brands including Vodafone, Nokia and Landis Gyr, and prior to this he was the Director of Programs for Ausgrid’s Smart Grid Smart City and Managing Director of Sonnet Corporation. He has also held various other executive and management positions across the ICT industry.
