Ang joins Standard Chartered from multinational investment bank UBS, where she was an environmental, social and governance (ESG) analyst, and takes on the role of associate director of strategic initiatives on its sustainable finance team.
She will be part of a team working towards a 2030 target to mobilise US$300 billion in green and transition finance. Standard Chartered also plans to achieve net-zero carbon emissions from its operations by 2025, and from its portfolio by 2050. The company recently tweaked its targets for oil and gas sector lending.
At UBS, Ang was part of the Asia Pacific sustainable finance office, where she was responsible for developing sustainable investing opportunities for all clients in the region.
The Singapore Polytechnic graduate joined UBS in 2021, having interned with Singapore Assurance PAC and Deloitte. She holds degrees in accountancy and business analytics.
