Join us on Tuesday 12 August for a site tour of the heritage listed Advanced Manufacturing Design Centre (AMDC), located within the Hawthorn Campus of Swinburne University.
The AMDC is a unique educational facility that has been awarded a 5 Star Green Star - Education Design v1 rating. Situated behind an original Victorian façade, the 10 storey building includes a lecture theatre, classrooms, student lounge, workshops, exhibition spaces, laboratories and pilot manufacturing facilities.
Sustainable building features include fluorescent and LED lighting, a tri-generation unit, rainwater harvesting, grey water treatment and an impressive 90% of all structural and reinforcing steel is sourced from a responsible steel maker.
