Many believe we need to double food production as a solution to rid famine and handle growing populations. But reality is that worldwide,1/3 of total food produced is wasted, and there are still 780 million people starving. Aside from this disparity, food wastage also has a huge economic and environmental toll, amounting to USD 680 billion annually, and contributing to 8% of greenhouse gases.

National Geographic, in collaboration with series partners Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) and National Environment Agency (NEA) is back with its series of sharing epic tales of adventure and exploration from world renowned National Graphic Explorers live on stage with Singapore audiences.

On 20 August, catch international award-winning author, campaigner and National Geographic Emerging Explorer, Tristram Stuart, on “Celebrating the End of Food Waste.

By exposing the most shocking and obviously insane instances of food waste, Feedback and a host of partner organisations globally have revealed that we can change the world for the better, and much of the time this simply means eating and enjoying food together rather than throwing it away. Tristram Stuart is on a mission to eliminate food waste through storytelling, innovative grassroots campaigns and initiatives.

Fans of National Geographic, together with global activists, environmentalists, explorers, adventurers and thinkers of all ages will find Tristram’s LIVE! show captivating as he educates the audience on how to end food waste once and for all. These stories of exploration and discovery seek to educate audiences, inspire exploration and encourage change, ultimately leading to a better world.
