Howzat! Lord’s to host national CSR Awards 2017

The National CSR Awards 2017 is delighted to announce that Lord’s Cricket Ground, the home of cricket – and the MCC, founded in 1787 – is to host the National CSR Awards 2017 dinner on Thursday 18th May.

MCC is the guardian of the laws and spirit of cricket and represents an innovative independent voice in the world game. It is the world’s most active cricket-playing club and also owns Lord’s Cricket Ground.

The club is committed to ensuring a sustainable future for Lord’s that focuses upon operating to minimise its socioeconomic and environmental impacts on the local community, its members, staff and visitors.

MCC actively seeks to develop and integrate good sustainable practices and is using the Ten One Planet Living Principles to help achieve its goals of reducing energy and water usage by 20% and reducing the non-recyclable waste to 20 per cent by 2020.

Karen Sutton, ceo and founder of the National CSR Awards, commented: “In the year that Lord’s hosts the ICC Women’s World Cup Final, we are thrilled the National CSR Awards 2017 will be there too. It’s a fantastic venue that upholds the same values and standards of the awards. We’ve really hit a six this year!”
