Green IT Award to be launched in Singapore

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF), IBM Singapore and Institute of Technical Education (ITE) are launching the Singapore Green IT Award to recognise locally-based companies that demonstrate outstanding use of sustainable IT solutions to address the needs of their business, ecology and society.

Eligible to all SBF-registered companies, the award categories include the Enterprise Green Innovation Award, and Small & Medium Business Green Innovation Award, where candidates will be assessed based on a green IT Index developed by Frost & Sullivan that looks at innovation in developing energy-saving solutions, corporate social responsibility and sustainability efforts.

Supported by Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (iDA), International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, National Environment Agency (NEA), Singapore Compact for CSR and Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), the Singapore Green IT Award ceremony will be held on 9 April 2010 during Eco World 2010.

The deadline for entry submission is 31 Jan 2010. More details will soon be made available by Singapore Business Federation.
