SEI-EWTCOI Industry Sharing Session on Waste Management & Recycling Technologies

Waste management is one of the key challenges faced by fast growing cities all over the world. Industrialisation and economic growth have raised affluence levels, but also accelerated waste generation. While there are technological solutions to address the waste challenge, the key to achieving a sustainable solution is to view waste as a resource and to encourage wide-spread recycling. Industries could adopt resource recovery solutions and reduce waste production outputs. Equally important is the fostering of research collaborations in developing practical and innovative solutions to tackle the waste issue.

At this sharing session, participants will learn about the work of our local agencies, research institutions and waste-to-energy specialists, covering the latest and emerging waste management solutions and application areas. The sharing session is also an opportunity to exchange ideas on the subject with leading practitioners in the public and private sectors.
