Development, Poverty Alleviation and Social Business

This practical course examines the contributions that businesses can make to sustainable development with a particular emphasis on poverty alleviation. Innovative business models such as base of pyramid products and services, social enterprises, inclusive value chains, impact investing, and women’s economic empowerment will be explored. The course will help participants:

• Understand the potential for the private sector to engage in development and poverty alleviation
• Understand business models that contribute to pro-poor development
• Identify opportunities for economic empowerment, social entrepreneurship, and other innovative solutions

Location : AIT campus, Bangkok
