Climate change and cocoa: strategies for mitigating risk and building resiliency

USAID Green Invest Asia and Cocoa Association of Asia will host this webinar as a follow-up to the recent CAA International Conference. The event continues discussions on strategies and actions that cocoa industry leaders are taking to reduce the impacts of climate change and increase supply chain resiliency.

Confirmed speakers in addition to USAID Green Invest Asia’s Chief of Party, Christy Owen, and Senior Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Uses (AFOLU) Advisor, Barry Flaming, include Fay Fay Choo, Director for Sustainability, Cocoa Association of Asia; Selene Scotton, Regional Cocoa Manager APAC, Puratos Grand-Place; Simon Bakker, Chief Executive Officer, Kennemer Foods International, and; Clare Stirling, Principal Scientist, Sustainable Cocoa Agriculture, Mondelez International.

Panellists will draw from their experiences adopting sustainable sourcing strategies, and developing appropriate metrics as well as climate-smart business models. A more detailed agenda will be available closer to the event date.
