Solving the global climate challenge will require a dramatic shift to transformative action beyond incremental change and reductions. A zero environmental footprint is the ultimate vision for climate-compatible growth and many of the world’s most progressive companies are already leading the way in developing ambitious zero-based targets and closed-loop strategies across key areas of business.
Themed “Reaching for Zero: Strategies and innovations towards a zero environmental footprint”, theB4E Climate Summit 2011 will assemble thought leaders from industry, government and NGOs to share their innovations and solutions for achieving zero-based targets. Discussions will focus on the bold new technologies and transformative business models that leading companies have already established, as well as the necessary support and infrastructure needed to accelerate and achieve the vision of a zero-footprint future. Outcomes of the Summit discussions will be used to provide input to COP 17, Rio+ and other global processes.
