DocMed Technology Pte Ltd (“DocMed”), a subsidiary of SGX Catalist-listed Hyphens Pharma International Limited, has signed a partnership agreement with SATA CommHealth, one of four Anchor Operators appointed by Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower under its Primary Care Plan (the “Partnership”), to deliver a new primary healthcare system for migrant workers starting on 1 April 2022.
Under the Partnership, DocMed’s WellAway e-pharmacy (“WellAway”) will provide e-pharmacy medication delivery to the migrant worker patient after a teleconsultation by SATA CommHealth. To ensure integrity of the medications, a team of professional pharmacists and pharmacy technicians supplies the medications in accordance with Singapore Standards SS644:2019.
Dr Kelvin Phua, Chief Executive Officer of SATA CommHealth said: “Our partnership with WellAway will help us to provide quality, affordable and accessible healthcare to migrant workers. With WellAway value-added service for medication supply and delivery, we can focus more on the consultations and deliver better treatment outcomes for the patients.”
DocMed’s mission is to supply affordable medications to the masses, using the convenience and efficiency of its WellAway e-pharmacy platform so that doctors can just do an e-prescription to have the relevant medications safely delivered to patients, without the need to manage a large inventory of medications.
To cater to different linguistic needs amongst the migrant workers, WellAway has also taken the initiative to include multilingual pictograms in addition to the standard medication labels, so that patients and their employers, can easily understand what was prescribed. WellAway may also provide phone counselling when needed.

DocMed is also currently evaluating strategic investors for its business expansion needs. The investments will help fund the regional rollout of its various digital platforms and support their inhouse technology development capabilities, such as the use of artificial intelligence for healthcare data analytics.
