Texcare Asia 2013 opens with a record number of international and domestic buyer groups

Shanghai, China - The biennial event, Texcare Asia, officially opens for its 2013 edition. Known as the most influential fair for Asia’s textile care professionals, Texcare Asia is taking place from 19 – 21 November at Shanghai New International Expo Center. During the three-day show, 150 exhibitors have been confirmed to showcase the latest in laundry, dry-cleaning, ironing and dyeing machinery as well as textile management systems from around the world. There are 15 countries and regions featured across the fair’s 15,000 sqm of exhibition space including Belgium, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Macau, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, the Netherlands, Turkey, the UK and the USA, representing an increase of 20 per cent compared to the last edition held in 2011.

Supporters of Texcare Asia come from all over the world. The fair has become regarded as one of the key gateways for industry professionals into the rapidly growing China market. One supporter, VDMA Garment and Leather Technology from Germany has worked with the organisers, Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd and China National United Equipment Group Corp, to arrange an exhibiting group of German brands for the 2013 show. The German Group consists of 12 leading brands from the country involved in various areas of textile care management. Some of the confirmed brands for the group include ABS, BÖWE, BÜFA, Kannegiesser, Kreussler, Maxi-Press, SEITZ, STAHL, TTL, VEIT.

In terms of visitor support, the show welcomes one of its highest number of VIP delegations this year, with close to ten industry associations bringing over 100 decision-making buyers. Areas represented by the VIP delegations include Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore as well as the Chinese mainland cities of Dalian, Hangzhou, Henan, Shaanxi and Tianjin.

Concurrent forum highlights the industry’s latest developments

Scheduled to take place from 19 – 20 November will be the 2013 edition of Texcare Forum Asia. The highly-regarded forum allows international experts on textile care development, to share the latest trends and in-demand solutions from markets around the world. Designed with a half-day discussion and a full-day education and training programme, over 20 sessions are scheduled for expert speakers and interested attendees to learn, share and network with industry peers. Topics have been designed around the themes of:

Business Development and Sustainable Innovation of the Professional Textile Care industry

Education and Training in Professional Textile Care

In addition, a series of product presentations will be held from 19 – 20 November, by firms including:

  • Shanghai Secaide Eco-Technology Co Ltd
  • Hohenstein Institute Shanghai Branch
  • Alliance Laundry Systems LLC

Items to be presented by the aforementioned firms include state-of-the-art dry cleaning and laundry machinery, sustainable washing programmes and industry standards as well as the latest in self-service and vended laundry systems.

Texcare Asia is a sister event of Texcare International. Every four years Texcare International — the world market for modern textile care provides an international venue for the textile-care sector in Frankfurt. The next edition of Texcare International will be held on 11 – 15 June 2016 in Frankfurt am Main. The brand, in addition to being represented in Asia, is also present in Russia. The fourth edition of Texcare Forum Russia will take place in Moscow in October 2014.
