Meiya Power Company Limited, a leading independent power producer (IPP) in north Asia, is pleased to announce that the Group was named The Environmental Company of the Year Award at the prestigious Asia Power Awards 2010.
Organized by Asian Power Magazine, Asian Power Awards aim to recognize the industry players in Asia for their outstanding performances and contributions to the power sector. This year’s award was concluded with a presentation ceremony held in Singapore on 3 November.
MPC had awarded two-time Independent Power Producer (IPP) of the Year Award for the past two years and was named The Environmental Company of the Year Award this year, recognizing its dedicated efforts in providing sustainable energy sources with low emission and protecting the environment.
At the presentation ceremony, Mr. Manuel Perez, Chairman and CEO of MPC said: “It is our honor to receive this prestigious award in the clean energy industry. I am also glad that MPC’s astounding growth in recent years is recognized by a panel of renowned judges for this award.
