Call for entries: Collaborate to Innovate, Singapore meets the Netherlands at 5th Winsemius Awards

The Association of Dutch Business people-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (“ADB-DutchCham”) in Singapore is excited to announce the 5th edition of the Winsemius Awards Gala Dinner, which will take place on Thursday May 30th, 2019 at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia hotel.

Held annually, the Awards are named after long-time economic advisor to Singapore, Dutchman Albert Winsemius. The Winsemius awards celebrate the strong business ties between Singapore and The Netherlands. This year’s theme is “Sustainable Business: Collaborate to Innovate”.

All companies—Dutch or local; multinational or start-up; from all sectors—may compete for the prestigious Winsemius Awards, as long as there is a Dutch-Singapore connection. This could be a partnership, a business relationship, a mixed innovative team, trade links or investments.

Inspire the jury with innovative processes, products or services that positively impact society or the environment. Judges will look out for entries demonstrating a clear collaborative link between Singapore and The Netherlands (e.g. combining resources such as knowledge, technology, manpower; trade; partnerships) and impact generated by the innovative product, service, business model, or collaboration.

The categories for the 2019 Awards are as follows:

  • Manufacturing & Supply Chain
  • Services & Hospitality
  • Maritime, Water & Offshore
  • Small Business Rising Star
  • Red-Orange Inspiration
  • Best Collaborative Team

This year, there are two new categories to celebrate excellent Collaboration and Team Work, namely the Red-Orange Inspiration Award for the Singaporean company that inspires most; and the Best Collaborative Team Award for teams driving an impactful collaborative innovation.

Entries for the 2019 Winsemius Awards can be submitted at https://adb-dutchcham.sg/submission-2019

Submission for the Awards closes on 10th of April 2019.

The three finalists in each category will be announced early May. Announcement of the final Winner of each category will take place at the Winsemius Awards Gala Dinner on 30 May 2019.
