UNAA Business and Human Rights Workshop: Corporate Human Rights Due Diligence

The United Nations Association of Australia (Victoria Division) is holding its second Business and Human Rights Workshop for 2014, entitled Corporate Human Rights Due Diligence: Assessment and integration of human rights impacts, on Tuesday 8 April, 2014 in Melbourne.

Facilitated by Dr Sara Bice, Research Fellow at the Centre for Public Policy of The University of Melbourne, this workshop looks into the due diligence aspect of the corporate responsibility to respect human rights, as explained the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. More specifically, it seeks to provide guidance on how to identify and assess actual and potential human rights impacts as well as integrate the findings across relevant internal functions and processes and take appropriate action.

Bringing together experts and practitioners from across business, government and civil society, the workshops provide a unique learning forum on how to integrate human rights considerations into everyday business practices, including through partnership and collaboration.
