The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 & Sustainability Strategy
As more organisations adopt the Sustainable Development Goals globally, the impetus on corporations to report non-financial information in the context of broader societal goals increases. The SDGs present vast opportunities to improve strategy and reporting for organisations and enhance performance by promoting the integration of sustainable development into ever-changing business models.
About the course
The SDGs & Sustainability Strategy training session will provide a strategic approach and practical knowledge to participants on how to adopt, align and integrate the 17 SDGs into their Economic, Environmental, Social and Governance material issues and ultimately into your sustainability/ business strategy. This course will focus on equipping participants with the capacity to effectively identify and contextualise material issues within broader global goals, in order to improve reporting. Case study examples of organisations using imaginative ways to integrate global goals in their designing of effective policies and strategies will be provided.

About the trainer - Carrie Johnson
Carrie founded Paia in 2002. She is a specialist in sustainability strategy, reporting and environmental issues. With over 20 years extensive “hands on” experience, Carrie focuses on guiding companies through the strategy development and reporting process. This includes helping companies develop their reporting process, select indicators, compile reports and review report drafts.
Carrie is the official trainer for Sustainability Reporting on behalf of ACCA, SEI and Global Compact Network Singapore. She has been providing both training and guidance on Sustainability Reporting in Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore since 2001.
She is also a Senior Lecturer at NUS teaching on NUS’s Masters in Environmental Management (MEM Programme).
