Industrial Energy Efficiency Forum - Manila

Industrial energy demand accounts for more than one-quarter of total energy demand in the Philippines stemming primarily from the basic metals & steel, chemicals, food & beverage, and pulp & paper product sectors. Driving energy efficiency in these sectors will have a signicant impact on reducing energy consumption, increasing productivity and competitiveness, and improving working conditions in Philippine industries.

The Industrial Energy Efficiency Forum aims to promote broad awareness within the target industry sectors and to generate interest in joining UNIDO’s Philippine Industrial Energy Efficiency Project (PIEEP) as training participants and technical assistance beneficiaries. It will also showcase success stories from the current participants of the project. PIEEP promotes sustainable energy management system and energy efficiency best practices within the Philippine industrial setting with the purpose of achieving energy savings and contributing to climate change mitigation efforts.

The Forum is primarily intended for high-level energy and facility management to increase awareness of ongoing energy efficiency interventions in Philippine industries, and the opportunities of involvement.
