The UN Environment Programme will host a workshop for GREEN female founders on accessing finance and comedic communications training for female-led startups in sustainability.
Female founders are less likely to receive investment, even though they have greater returns on investment. Women are also disproportionately represented in both startups addressing green growth, as well as groups who will be impacted by climate change – that’s why we want to help. The workshop will have three parts:
- A policy dialogue will enable female founders to engage with leaders in finance and policy to share their experiences and advice on how to improve enabling frameworks.
- The communications training will focus on comedic storytelling. Why? Because comedy can help people shift to more sustainable products and services, it can help women be heard, and lastly it can help entrepreneurs pitch to investors.
- All participants will be invited to feature in a UNEP video about female founders.
Places are very limited and participants will have to apply through this link by November 30.
