Sustainable Business - What’s in it for you?

GreenBizCheck invites Gold Coast Business Owners and business environmental professionals to a sustainability forum from 4:30-7pm 19 October, 2011 at the Prana Centre in Nerang.

Topics will include the benefits of sustainable business, green business credentials, the latest sustainability tools and trends and green change management practices.

The night will feature guest speakers from local and national organisations including Bureau Veritas, Corporate Express, The University of Queensland, Bond University and GreenBizCheck.

Attendees will be treated to complimentary food and refreshments from local providers as well as have the chance to network with other local businesses and win great prizes.

Local Gold Coast business case studies will also be on display, with attendees able to speak with local business owners during the evening who have already undergone the sustainability process.

The sustainability forum will focus on dispelling the myths around sustainability and business. It aims to eradicate these existing beliefs and show business owners just what sustainable business can do for them.

GreenBizChecks Gold Coast Business owner, Steve Kondra commented, “The majority of business owners who implement sustainability practices report significant cost savings, increased business, enhanced employee productivity, positive branding opportunities and a feeling of satisfaction from doing their part for the environment. Our forum is being held to educate business owners on the importance of sustainability and how it can benefit their business.”

Business sustainability is set to soar over the next year and with the emergence of the eco-conscious consumer, it is important for businesses to start implementing sustainable practices now.

GreenBizCheck provides businesses with a world-leading certification program that encompasses high impact assessments, reports and action plans. The programs are specifically designed to make it easy for businesses to reduce their impact on the environment, reducing waste, energy and water consumption.
