Solar Energy UK 2013

The UK solar market set to deploy 1.5 GW. How can you benefit?

The UK solar market is on course to deliver 1-1.5GW in 2013 driven by a dedicated government’s solar strategy targeting 20GW of solar by 2020. The UK’s solar ambition is underscored by a number of stable support mechanisms designed to encourage solar’s uptake in domestic and commercial segments.

Trina Solar shipped more than 22% of their global module output to the UK in the first quarter this year taking advantage of a booming large scale solar segment which saw deployment reach 500MW over the same period.

The European solar market is extremely volatile with threats of impending duties. However, demand for solar products in the UK is expanding and thousands of installers and distributors are looking for ways to secure their supply chain of quality modules, inverters and components.

Solar Energy UK 2013 brings together leading companies like Trina, Yingli, SMA and many more to do business with UK installers and distributors (see all exhibitors).

Isn’t it time you have another look at the UK market? Our upcoming events can help you do exactly that!

Solar Energy UK 2013 exhibition, already the largest in the UK will be expanding to include 200 companies and bring together more than 4,700 attendees. Held on 8 -10 October at the NEC Birmingham, Solar Energy UK is the perfect platform to showcase your products and services to the key decision makers whether you are an installer, distributor, EPC, developer, distributor, local authority, landowner, architect or involved any other way in the extensive solar sector. Now in its fourth year, the event will incorporate Distributed Energy to reflect all sectors committed to the local generation, storage, use and transmission of energy. Energy storage products are included among these solutions making this event.

Also, 2013 will see the launch of the Solar Power Portal Awards, recognising the best in UK solar on the first evening of Solar Energy UK, 8 October. Focusing on all areas of the solar industry, the awards will celebrate good practice, professionalism, quality, safety and innovation across eleven categories. Sponsored by Rexel and DulasMHH, the awards represent an opportunity for industry recognition, a catalyst for new business and higher visibility within the industry. Entries are open to all companies involved in the solar industry. Deadline is Friday 12 July.
