Chempolis shortlisted to the top 30 finalists in global GCCA Later Stage Awards

Chempolis has made through into top thirty cleantech companies in the Renewable Energy, Biofuels -category of the Global Cleantech Cluster Association 2011 Later Stage Awards. International independent jury of financing and business professionals has selected Chempolis as one of the top 30 finalists. In the process, Chempolis’ business model, market position and innovative technologies were evaluated and screened.

“Narrowing down 185 nominations from cleantech clusters all over the world down to 30 was a very competitive process,” says Ben Taube, Chairman of the GCCA. “These Top 30 Finalists are the rising stars of the world’s clean technology sector.” The best companies in categories will be published in Dublin in 14 November 2011.

”Chempolis greatly appreciates the position in the top 30 GCCA finalists. Earlier Chempolis’ innovative biorefining technologies have been evaluated as excellent by US DoE, and IFC. The primary aim of Chempolis is to gain commercial references which enable rapid deployment of the technologies and business growth”, says Pasi Rousu, President, Chempolis Asia & Pacific.

The GCCA Later Stage Award Global Top 30 Finalists were selected out of the 4000 companies represented by the GCCA’s 30 member clusters, ranging from North America and Europe to Asia. Each cluster conducted internal evaluations to nominate up to 10 companies in 10 categories, including solar, wind, energy storage, green buildings, water and more.
