Carbon Trade Exchange goes gold for the Climate Leadership Conference

Global corporate offsetting leader Carbon Trade Exchange (CTX) is proud to announce it will be a gold sponsor of the Climate Leadership Conference, taking place in Washington, DC on 23-25 February 2015.

The event is hosted by The Climate Registry, the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions, and the Association of Climate Change Officers. As a gold sponsor, CTX will be alongside the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which is the conference’s headline sponsor.

The Climate Leadership Conference is the annual summit for addressing global climate change for major corporates, local government and federal agencies in the USA through policy, innovation and business solutions. Offsetting companies’ emissions voluntarily is a key focus of this year’s event and CTX is the largest source of offsets globally, boasting hundreds of projects from over 30 countries.

The CTX team will be joining other forward-thinking leaders from business, government, academia and the non-profit community to explore market transformation and share energy and climate-related solutions.

Wayne Sharpe, CTX Chairman and Founder said “The Climate Leadership Awards read like a ‘who’s who’ of corporate America, and recognise action which organisations have undertaken in reducing their carbon emissions and building resilience to climate change. This leadership and commitment is critical to solving the problem of climate change at ground level and to discover how new opportunities, policies and technologies will drive a low-carbon future.”

CTX’s CEO Baden Wright added “Sponsoring an event rewarding business and climate leadership is the type of action that’s in the CTX DNA. As the global leader in the environmental exchange sector, our team continue to drive technology innovation and solutions, including providing the only global voluntary carbon exchange for all major international carbon standards, supporting a low-carbon economy in a fast, cost effective and efficient way.”

CTX encourages all businesses to register and attend the conference. More information can be found at www.climateleadershipconference.org.
