One-size-fits-all policies to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions will not work. Unless developed countries recognise the challenges confronting developing and emerging economies and take appropriate steps to help them achieve net-zero emissions, we will all be worse off.
The South Korean government has decided to pursue a more aggressive greenhouse gas emission target by 2030. It should now push for more collaboration with other Asian countries to fulfil its promises, writes Dr Frank Rijsberman of the Global Green Growth Institute.
