Malaysia safe from electricity crisis

The high cost of fuel will not deplete Malaysia’s sources of electricity. This was the assurance given by the Parliament amid fears that higher cost of fuel will lead to an electricity crisis in Malaysia. Datuk Seri Peter Chin Fah Kui, Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, said they are continuously conducting studies to find alternative energy sources and that they will do their best to ensure that Malaysia’s electricity generation is stable. He said the ministry is now looking into the feasibility of developing wind and geothermal energy.
