The Hornbill Award 2021 (at Climate Week New York)

Climate Governance Malaysia designed The Hornbill Award Competition 2021 to promote the conservation of biodiversity, with the support of partners such as corporate sponsors (Areca Capital, Astro, Better Malaysia Foundation, CIMB Foundation, Tenaga Nasional, Yayasan Hasanah, Yayasan Sime Darby), audit and consulting firm (PwC), as well as leading content and media houses (Eco-Business, IslamicMarkets.com).

Organisations are invited to focus on the area of Conservation, dealing with the preservation and management of biodiversity and natural resources. It is a discipline that is emerging rapidly as a result of the accelerating deterioration of natural systems and the worldwide epidemic of species extinctions.

One of the short-listed Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) or Civil Society Organizations (CSO) will walk away with the total prize money of RM105,000 which judges will award to fund an innovative proposal in response to the theme identified for the competition.

The selection will culminate during Climate Week New York, which is the largest climate event of the year, and this decision will take into account audience voting as well.
