Are you a large and/or obliged enterprise in Visayas?
Learn, network, and get a step-by-step guide on registering your business to the DENR EPR Registry. Join us for this roundtable discussion and EPR clinic.
In support of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources “LOOPFORWARD” national advocacy campaign towards the successful implementation of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Act, we warmly extend an invitation to you to join us at “Rethinking Plastics: EPR Paving the Way Towards Circularity”, a roundtable discussion (RTD) to be held at Bai Hotel in Cebu City on 22 September 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Led by Nestlé Philippines, with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), GIZ, European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), and organised by Eco-Business, this high-level event aims to foster discussions that provide guidance to OEs on how to register to the DENR’s EPR registry, and explore ways businesses can work together with the government to successfully implement the EPR ACT.
This is the first year of implementation since the EPR Act or Republic Act 11898 was passed into law in July 2022, with its Implementing Rules and Regulations issued in January 2023.
Through the series of RTDs in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, we are actively reaching out to more obliged enterprises (OEs) in the Philippines to help meet the yearend deadline to submit and register their EPR programmes.
Beyond legislation that aims to urgently stem plastic waste pollution in the country, the EPR Act presents an opportunity for social inclusion by transforming the informal waste sector – an important cog moving the country’s progress on the circular economy forward.
Do you know of an obliged enterprise that could benefit from attending this event? Please forward this invitation.
In-person and virtual attendance is available.
