Responsible Supply Chain Management

The Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce Training Academy – in cooperation with GIZ and CSR Asia - is coming up with a new HRDF Claimable Training Course in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for you!

Are you in control of your supply chain risks? Are you missing new opportunities?

For many companies some of their largest risks to reputation and brand are not in their own operations, but in their supply chains. Abusive labour practices, child labour and modern day slavery all pose a risk to a business. At the same time the supply chain offers huge opportunities to engage with poorer workers and communities through inclusive business opportunities.

Topics covered in this advanced 2-day course:

  • Sustainable sourcing + Case study of RSPO
  • Inclusive Business + Case study of shrimp
  • Supply chain risk and challenges
  • Labour practices and standards
  • Codes of conduct and labour standards implement

The Trainer:

Richard WELFORD is one of the founders and the chairman of CSR Asia. He has over twenty years of experience working in the fields of environmental management and social responsibility.

Jonas NAGUIB is working for GIZ and heading the Responsible and Inclusive Business Hub (RIBH) SEA from Jakarta, Indonesia. RIBH SEA is part of a supra-regional project promoting the joint engagement of enterprises and development programs in tackling development challenges.
