Race to Zero - Sustainability in 2024: Moving from insights to scaleable measures

When it comes to addressing climate, nature, circular economy, and social concerns, there is considerable discussion and good intentions. However, the first United Nations (UN) Global Stocktake unveiled in September 2023 revealed our collective efforts to fulfil the objectives of the 2015 Paris Agreement are veering off course.

The COP28’s action campaign highlights this message, encouraging people around the world to engage in meaningful action to drive collective progress. As we approach the midway point to 2030, a comprehensive society approach is imperative to accelerate decisive and scalable measures.

Join us for the third installment of our Race to Zero series, hosted by KPMG in Singapore’s Business Foundry, where we will showcase insights from finance, technology and entrepreneurs who are driving progress towards key action areas. These actions may involve limiting carbon footprints, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risks across supply chains, exclusively engaging with ethical and sustainable suppliers, or accelerating responsible investing and sustainable finance.

Topics for discussion include:

• Conducting a worldwide assessment of our collective progress and key insights on climate finance, inclusion, and a fair transition.
• Examining the reasons behind the lack of a quicker transition.
• Exploring promising technologies and data use cases to drive behavioural and systematic change.
• Identifying overlooked opportunities and areas for collaboration.

Speakers:

  • Kristina Anguelova (Keynote), Head of Asia Sustainable Finance, WWF Singapore
  • Naomi Vowels (Panellist), Co-founder and Director, Givvable
  • Tali Goldman (Panellist), Founder and Managing Director, Market for Good
  • Aurélie Zeller-Nahappan (Panellist), Deputy CEO, Sustainion by Turnkey Group
  • Nurul Syaheedah Jes Izman (Panellist), Co-founder, Pantas
