ICAP Advanced Course on Emissions Trading

The International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP) is pleased to open its call for applications for the 1st ICAP Advanced Course on Emissions Trading, taking place in London, UK from 12 - 17 July 2015.

The International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP) is convening a “masterclass” for 30 participants who already have an in-depth understanding of, and/or practical experience with, emission trading systems. The six-day course delves into advanced and topical issues related to emissions trading as a climate policy instrument, covering both ETS design and experiences with their operation. Participants will have ample networking opportunities both with each other and the teaching faculty, which is composed of ICAP representatives and recognized experts in the field.

Participants will be carefully selected based on defined criteria that take into account a balanced mixture of professional backgrounds and nationalities.

Applicants must be nationals or permanent residents of developing countries and emerging economies (see DAC list of ODA recipients). Also eligible are are nationals from Israel, the Republic of Korea, Russia and Taiwan. Applicants who are not nationals of DAC countries need to cover their own travel and accommodation costs.

Final selection and confirmation of participants will rest with ICAP.

Applications will be accepted until Sunday, 3 May 2015.

The course will be conducted in English. Applications are to be submitted in English.
