NEA’s Clean & Green Hackathon 2015 (19 to 21 June) is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise and tackle environmental challenges, such as encouraging the community to share the effort in maintaining our public spaces and reduce and recycle waste, particularly at festivals and events.
You’ll work alongside passionate citizens from diverse backgrounds to help cultivate a greater environmental consciousness amongst those who call Singapore home. If you haven’t been to a hackathon before, don’t worry, we welcome first-timers! Here’s what’s in store for the weekend:
• Kick-off night (Friday, 19 June): Features expert presentations to inspire you with some thought-starters and give you an overview of the challenges you can tackle. This is where you can pitch your ideas and form teams.
• Day 2 (Saturday, 20 June): The day will be spent working with your team to develop your idea and prototype it. You’ll also receive support from mentors to help you strengthen your idea and overcome roadblocks.
• Day 3 (Sunday, 21 June): The morning starts with presentation clinics to help refine your pitch, followed by presentations to the judges in the afternoon. There’s a prize pool of $6,000 to be won!
