Air Conditioning vs Energy Efficiency in ASEAN

Air-conditioners are commonly used in ASEAN, as the region lies in the equatorial zone with relatively hot temperatures throughout the year. The demand for air-conditioners in residential and commercial buildings is estimated to constitute about 40 per cent of the total electricity consumption in ASEAN. The challenges with the rising demand are increased power consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

This webinar seeks to find out more about the impact of air-conditioning to the environment and about the drivers of energy efficiency in ASEAN. Speakers will come from Eco-Business, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia, ASEAN Centre for Energy.
