There is an obvious link between the important EU initiatives on the Circular Economy and Energy Union. This link is Waste-to-Energy. Therefore,in 2016 the European Commission will deliver a communication paper that exploits the potential of Waste-to-Energy by establishing synergies between resource efficiency, energy efficiency, circular economy and climate change.
