A webinar exploring the achievements and prospects for the concentrated solar power industry in India has been announced by CSP Today, taking place December 6 at 14.30 IST / 09.00 GMT.
2012 saw foundations laid for the Indian CSP industry – international companies like Areva, Novatec Solar and SENER announced major moves into the market, while investment from the likes of the Asian Development Bank ($103 million) and the US Ex-Im Bank ($80 million) boosted CSP expansion.
However, recent comments from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy indicate that supply chain and solar radiation data issues have impacted CSP development under the National Solar Mission, while PV bid winners have made considerable progress in implementing their projects. This has put pressure on their CSP counterparts to meet deadlines.
To debate crucial industry challenges in greater depth, CSP Today has organized a free webinar, taking place on Thursday December 6 at 14.30 IST / 09.00 GMT.
