Vice Minister, Ministry of Energy and Mines, Lao PDR confirmed to speak
H.E. Viraphonh Viravong, Vice Minister at the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Lao PDR has confirmed to deliver a keynote presentation at the opening of Sustainable Energy & Technology Asia
Since 2006, Viraphonh Viravong has served in the Ministry of Energy and Mines first as a director general, and from November 2011, as vice minister. He is overseeing scores of projects throughout the nation, including construction of the 1,285 MW Xayaburi Hydropower Project on the Mekong mainstream.
Viravong has participated in numerous international forums, advocating sustainable development of the power sector to earn foreign reserves from energy exports to help electrify the countryside, alleviate poverty and ensure a brighter future for the people of Lao PDR.
