Our Hiraya, a global sustainable procurement solutions provider, has been awarded an EcoVadis Silver Medal and received a rating of 67 for its sustainability efforts.
EcoVadis is an independent third-party assessment platform that evaluates companies’ environmental, social, and ethical practices based on 21 sustainability criteria across four categories: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The EcoVadis rating system is recognised as one of the most comprehensive and trusted methodologies for measuring sustainability performance in the industry.
“It is a real testament to our purpose-led approach, and the commitment of our team to receive the EcoVadis Silver Medal and a rating of 67. This is a great validation of all the work we have completed so far, but we still feel there are some key areas where we can drive improvement,” said Our Hiraya Founder and Chief Hirayan Aaron Leonard. “This achievement reflects our commitment to integrate sustainability into all aspects of our business operations, and it shows our customers we are well placed to help them on their own sustainability journeys.”
Our Hiraya has implemented various sustainability initiatives in recent years, such as driving diversity and inclusion including female leadership, promoting mental health and wellness including flexible workplace and wellness days, and encouraging community days for environmental and local community impact. The purpose-led nature of the business also helps customers drive direct impact across a wide range of sustainability criteria.
“It’s amazing to be part of an organisation that is making a tangible difference in promoting sustainability internally and across various industries,” said Pauline Antonio, Engagement Director at Our Hiraya. “Our goal is to continuously drive positive impact and expand our reach by partnering with even more businesses on this important journey.”
The EcoVadis Silver Medal and rating of 67 are a recognition of Our Hiraya’s commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices. The company will continue to prioritise sustainability and integrate it into its core business operations to create long-term value for its stakeholders.
